ASMi-52The ASMi-52 modem uses SHDSL technology, complying with the ITU and ETSI standards, to extend the range of digital interfaces. The ASMi-52 device offers extended distances and variable data rates up to 2.3 Mbps over 2-wire and 4.6 Mbps over 4-wire. It uses TC PAM-16 line coding, equalization, adaptive filtering and echo cancellation to compensate for line impairments, bridge taps and mixed cabling. This provides high immunity to background noise and enables transmission of multiple SHDSL lines on the same physical cable. Extended range up to 10 km (6.2 miles)The ASMi-52 extends the range of 2 Mbps data transmission up to 4 km (2.5 miles) over 2-wire cable and even further over 4-wire cable. It supports E1 (according to ITU G.704), V.35, RS-530, X.21, Ethernet bridge and IP router user interfaces. Works opposite LRS-24, LRS-52, DXC SHDSL modules and third-party equipmentStandards compliance enables the ASMi-52 to work opposite third-party vendor TDM equipment that supports the SHDSL standard. It also works opposite the LRS-52 SHDSL modem rack, the LRS-24 rack and the DXC SHDSL modules. Monitoring, control and diagnostics of local and remote units are available via a supervisory port. SNMP agent included in the standalone unitThe ASMi-52 is available as a standalone unit or as a card for the LRS-24 19" rack with central SNMP management. The ASMi-52 includes an SNMP agent in both standalone and card versions. The management of the standalone unit is available via: |
