The U.CON series provides the network designerwith a flexible, cost effective and trouble-freetool for network extension. The U.CON is an universal, protocol transparentdevice, converting digital signals ranging upto 155Mbps from multi-mode to single modefibres and distances of up to 150km.Being transparent, their deployment is easyand does not require any settings ormeasurements. The device is protocol independent for thespecified transmission speed however it isdelivered qualified for the 2 most popularstandards in this range: ATM/OC3 (U.CON1A)or 100Base-FX (U.CON1F). Products may be ordered with both F/O portsSingle-Mode fibre to be used as networkextenders or wavelength converters. The U.CON is housed in a compact yet ruggedchassis allowing both desktop and shelf mountingand powered by a internal auto-ranging powersupply.
