Line connector options: terminal block, RJ-11 and RJ-45
The SRM-6DC is a miniature asynchronous short range modem designed for large multipoint networks such as Unisys poll-select applications. It is an excellent alternative to TDI (Unisys Twowire Direct Interface) cabling, offering longer distance and more drops.Data is transmitted full duplex over 4-wire or half duplex over 2-wire telephone lines, at a rate of up to 38.4 kbps for distances up to 6.5 km (4.0 miles). The SRM-6DC isolates inactive transmit wire pairs, and offers strap-selectable high or low impedance of the receive circuit. This enables operation of up to 50 polled terminals without degradation over distance. Compact and lightweight, the SRM-6DC operates without external power.DTE interface is via a male or female integral 25-pin connector. Connection to the line is usually via a 5-screw (4-wire and ground) terminal block. Other connectors available are RJ-11 and RJ-45.
