FibroLAN Fixed Multiple channels devices

All Fixed Multiple channels devices are 1U high, providing the highest in the industry channel density. All except the mS.CON2 and the mCTF2 are 19" rack mounted. The 19" products feature hot swappable power supplies, both AC and DC (-48VDC for Telco applications), and optional, redundant, load sharing power supplies. Cooling fans are built into the power supplies thus may be hot swapped as well. All managed product have the management interfaces built in. Once the FNM1612 management module is plugged in (which can be done in the field), the device becomes fully managed.

100Base-TX to 100Base-FX multiple channels- F.CON series

This 19" Rack-Mountable device is a multiple-channel 100Base-TX/FX Media Converter providing 6 or 12 independent conversion channels housed in a slim 1U chassis. Each individual channel allows network extension over m/m fiber of 2000m (6600ft), and up to 150 km (!) over s/m fibers. It is transparent to HDX/FDX transmissions. Furthermore, it generates "FDX advertising" signals to force maximal performance on other – even non managed – network elements, thus enhancing overall network performance. The device is SNMP ready. The Fault Propagation mechanism implemented in the device allows network redundancy while the link test capability allows easy maintenance.

10/100 TX-FX multiple channels S.CON series

This 19" Rack-Mountable device implements the innovative BMD (Buffered Media Domain) technology to provide an unconditioned network extension over s/m fiber of up to 150km in any network architecture (even when such includes repeaters). It’s copper ports are auto-sensing to provide easy migration from 10Mbps to 100Mbps transmission rates. Special attention was given to allow easy installation and maintenance: MDI-II/MDI-X switch in each channel (auto-cross in mS.CON2) to eliminate crossed cables, redundant power-supply, directly removable (hot-swap) power-supply, extensive front-panel diagnostics and more. It is factory pre-configured and several S.CON devices can be mixed and stacked to achieve the exact number of channels required while occupying minimal rack-space. No PDV calculation need to be performed prior to implementing in a network – full performance is always guaranteed. The mS.CON2 is exceptional to the above being housed in a "half-rack" chassis with fixed power supply. In addition to the a/m features, it provides also fault propagation. The S.CON6M and mS.CON2M are the SNMP managed versions of this series.

10Base-T to 10Base-FL multiple channels CTF series

Fiber-optic connectivity may be required in networks due to several reasons, distance being the most popular, as the copper connectivity is limited by the standard to a network span of 205m only. Using external multiple –channel media converters in conjunction with UTP hubs or switches has proven to be the most flexible and cost effective method, cheaper by far compared to using switches with integrated fiber-optic ports. These 19” Rack-Mountable devices(except the mCTF2) implement innovative Media Conversion technologies providing an unconditioned network extension over s/m fiber of up to 40km, in any network architecture (even when such includes repeaters). This series provides the industry highest channel density (16/1U). The devices are fully transparent and automatically adapt to conversion of Half and Full-Duplex transmissions. It is factory pre-configured and several CTF devices can be mixed and stacked to achieve the exact number of channels required while occupying minimal rack-space. Along with its extensive front-panel diagnostics it ensures trouble free network design, installation and maintenance. The optional redundant power-supply increases system reliability, eliminating the single point of failure risks.

Mixed 10Base-T to 10Base-FL and 10/100-TX-FX -CTX series

This 19” Rack-Mountable device provides an optimized Media Conversion solution for some of the most abundant configurations of switching hubs: 12 ports of 10Base-T and 1 or 2 ports of 100Base-TX (and their multiplies ). It combines S.CON 10/100BaseTX-FX conversion channels and CTF 10BaseT/FL conversion channels. The S.CON channels implement the innovative BMD (Buffered Media Domain) technology to provide an unconditioned network extension over s/m fiber of up to 150km, in any network architecture (even when such includes repeaters). It’s copper ports are auto-sensing to provide easy migration from 10Mbps to 100Mbps transmission rates. Redundant power-supply, directly removable (hot-swap) power-supply, extensive front-panel diagnostics and more ensure increased reliability as well as easy installation and maintenance.. It is factory pre-configured and several devices can be mixed and stacked to achieve the exact number of channels required while occupying minimal rack-space.

Universal ( Fast Ethernet and ATM/OC3 ) MM to SM UCON series

Most of the high speed networking devices (such as ATM or Fast-Ethernet switches) are available with only multi-mode fiber-optic ports. Other devices – when offered with Single-Mode fiber interfaces are very expensive and not flexible in use. The U.CON series provides the network designer with a flexible, cost effective and trouble-free tool for network extension. A U.CON is an universal, protocol transparent device, converting digital signals ranging up to 155Mbps from multi-mode to single mode fibers and distances of up to 150km . Being transparent, their deployment is easy and does not require any settings or measurements. The device is protocol independent for the specified transmission speed however it is delivered qualified for the 2 most popular standards in this range: ATM/OC3 (U.CON1A) or 100Base-FX (U.CON1F). Products may be ordered with both F/O ports Single-Mode fiber to be used as network extenders or wavelength converters. Products of this series are housed in a fixed 19” rack-mountable chassis with one or two (redundant) power supplies.
