FibroLAN MA Enabled Products

A wide selection of single channel and fixed chassis multiple channel devices with MA™ functionality. To learn more about the features of the MA™, go to DS-MA and for further study – Intelligence in FTTH networks. For modular chassis MA™ enabled products go to Part 3. All FibroLAN’s single channel (and other stand-alone) devices are packaged in quality metal housing and all are equipped with quality internal, auto range (100VAC ÷240VAC) power supplies. All models are available (at additional cost) with a carrier type DC power supply (-36VDC÷-72VDC) – PS48. While normally supporting commercial environmental conditions, products are available also for industrial applications at Extended Temperature Range (ETR) of -10ºC÷ +70ºC Default installation mode of these products is desktop. Some are equipped with fixtures for direct mounting on walls, for those who are not, a wall mount kit (SCH-WM) may be purchased separately. 19” Rack-Mount shelves for installing 2 or 3 devices are available as well (CTF-RM and RM2). The LTA and DLA series can be directly mounted on standard “Half Rack” (half size cabinet) using optional brackets. All products Fixed Chassis in this part are 1U high, providing the highest in the industry channel density. The 19” products feature hot swappable power supplies, both AC and DC (-48VDC for Telco applications), and optional, redundant, load sharing power supplies. Cooling fans are built into the power supplies thus may be hot swapped as well. All managed product have the management interfaces built in. Once the FNM1613 management module is plugged in (which can be done in the field), the device becomes fully managed. All products are available in versions for Multi-Mode fibers and most popular distances over Single-Mode fiber, as well as Single-Fiber-Strand (SFS). If you can not find in this part the desirable interface, you may order the basic Multi-Mode model and the appropriate Single-Mode option from Single-Mode Options for FibroLAN products.

SNMP managed 10/100 TX -FX Single channel - S.CON1M/MA series

This series is based on FibroLAN’s BMD technology (layer 2 MC). The device converts 10/100Mbps signals from its RJ45 ports to 100Mbps (100Base-FX) on its F/O port and extends them up to 150km. Its TP port operates both at auto-negotiation and forced modes allowing connection to any type of Ethernet or Fast Ethernet device, disregarding its duplex mode. It is equipped with an MDII/MDIX selector to eliminate the need of crossed patch-cables. The F/O port is set by default to 100Mbps FDX, ensuring maximal distance over the F/O link but can be forced to HDX to interoperate with other device. It is available with a variety of F/O connectors both single and dual fiber strand. It’s extensive diagnostics (7LEDs/9 Functions) and an array of DIP switches (both on front panel) make its installation and maintenance an absolute success. These devices are SNMP managed versions allow remote monitoring and control of the device. They include the MA technology therefore can manage remote MA enable devices which are not SNMP managed (H.CON/MA, F.CON1/MA)

10/100TX-FX single channel H.CON/MA series

This series is based on FibroLAN’s BMD technology (layer 2 MC). The device converts 10/100Mbps signals from it’s RJ45 ports to 100Mbps (100Base-FX) on its F/O port and extends them up to 40km. Its TP port operates at auto-negotiation mode allowing connection to any type of Ethernet or Fast Ethernet device, disregarding it’s duplex mode. The F/O port is set by default to 100Mbps FDX, ensuring maximal distance over the F/O link . It is available with a variety of F/O connectors both single and dual fiber strand. It’s diagnostics (3LEDs/5 Functions) make its installation and maintenance an absolute success. It is MA enable therefore can be remotely controller by a managed and MA enabled device (S.CON1M/MA, F.CON8/16/MA, F.CON12/MA/TL or MetroStar) The H.CON/MA series forms the basic CPE solution for FTTx networks.

Local Traffic Aggregators MA enabled -LTA/MA series

This device - with its 4 TP ports (10/100 auto-negotiating) and one 100Base-FX port, provides an ideal solution for both FTTD (Fiber-To-The-Desk) FTTB (Fiber-to-the Building) and FTTH (Fiber-To-The-Home) networks. The traffic from the TP ports is aggregated into the fiber link, blocking connectivity between the users, literarily bring the port of the corporate (or access) switch close to the users. This results in direct and immediate saving of almost 75% from the cost of entire network (active, passive and labor). Further saving is achieved by deploying an SFS models which requires only 1 fiber for full bi-directional traffic. The device features auto-cross RJ-45 ports, extensive diagnostics and an array of set-up DIP switches (all located on the front panel) for easy and trouble free installation and maintenance. Being MA enable it can be remotely controller by a managed and MA enabled device (S.CON1M/MA, F.CON8/16/MA, F.CON12/MA/TL or MetroStar). With advanced management, full VLAN routing, QoS support, rate limiting and other carrier oriented features, It is by far the best available solution as an advanced and powerful CPE for FTTH and FTTB networks allowing the connection of several users or different application of same users.

Single Channel 100BaseTX to 100BaseFX MA enabled - F.CON1MA series

This series is based on a direct conversion technology (layer 1 MC). The device converts 100Mbps traffic from it’s RJ45 ports to 100Mbps (100Base-FX) on its F/O port and extends them up to 40km. Its TP port performs FDX Advertising ensuring that link partners adopt FDX mode as well. A special front panel switch allows disabling this function in case that HDX operation is required. The F/O port is transparent to the duplex mode. It is available with a variety of F/O connectors both single and dual fiber strand. It’s diagnostics (5LEDs) make its installation and maintenance an absolute success. The F.CON1/MA is recommended whenever the interconnected devices are 100Mbps and FDX. The embedded MA technology allows to control the F.CON1/MA by other MA enabled and managed devices (S.CON1M/MA, F.CON8/16/MA, F.CON12/MA/TL or MetroStar)

Fixed Multiple Channel 100Base-TX to 100Base-FX MA enabled - F.CON series

This 19” Rack-Mountable device is a multiple-channel 100Base-TX/FX Media Converter providing 8 ,12 or 16 independent conversion channels housed in a slim 1U chassis. Each individual channel allows network extension over m/m fiber of 2000m (6600ft), and up to 150 km (!) over s/m fibers. It is transparent to HDX/FDX transmissions. Furthermore, it generates “FDX advertising” signals to force maximal performance on other – even non managed – network elements, thus enhancing overall network performance. The device is SNMP ready. The Fault Propagation mechanism implemented in the device allows network redundancy while the link test capability allows easy maintenance. Being MA enabled, it can control up to 16 remote single channel MA enabled devices (H.CON/MA, F.CON1/MA, LTA41/MA and DLA22/MA)

Gigabit Ethernet Converters & Extenders MA managed - GSM1000 series

The GSM1000 Media Converters extends the distance of your LAN by converting a gigabit Multimode ( or Single Mode ) into a GBE Single Mode signal. The GSM101x devices provide conversion from a copper GBE interface ( 1000-T ) to a MM ( 1000Base-SX ) or SM Link ( 1000Base-LX )to allow extension up to 80Km The device provides conversion from a MM ( 1000Base-SX) or SM (1000Base-LX ) into a SM ( 1000Base-LX ) link allowing distance gain of up to 80Km. A variety of optics is available to fit your transmission requirements. The GSM1000 – 1003 are suitable for point to point connectivity, whereas the GSM4000-7000 models are normally deployed in cascading long distance networks.
