SHDSL/VoDSL
SHDSL (ITU G.991.2) is a standard DSL technology that fulfills the broadband requirements of business users for symmetrical, two-way traffic, and provides the Quality of Service (QoS) they need for high bandwidth data transfer. SHDSL extends transmissions farther than any other DSL technology, opening the door for service providers to deliver low cost, multiservice, broadband access to a wider subscriber base.
RAD's SHDSL products are fully standards-compliant. Using inverse multiplexing over ATM (IMA) technology, RAD combines four 2.3 Mbps SHDSL links into a larger 9.2 Mbps pipe, for increased speed without affecting distance.

There are many SHDSL products on the market, but no vendor can match RAD's wide selection of interfaces, flexibility and variety of product lines incorporating SHDSL technology. Only RAD offers such a complete selection of SHDSL solutions for TDM and ATM networks. RAD SHDSL products include the DXC line of access concentrators, LA-110 and LA-140 IADs, FCD-IP and FCD-IPM NTUs, ASMi-52 modems, and LRS-24 and LRS-52 modem racks. With products for the customer site and the central site, RAD lets you integrate voice and data over TDM- and ATM-based networks. This lets you plan your SHDSL network with greater flexibility, offering more data and voice services with lower operating costs, all integrated by the same network management system.
Voice over DSL (VoDSL) is a transmission technology (typically ATM-based) that enables carriers to offer bundled voice and data services over copper lines.
RAD's Link Access integrated access devices (IADs) (LA-110 and LA-140) offer cost-effective voice and data convergence over DSL lines. These IADs guarantee Quality of Service (QoS) and end-to-end management up to the customer premises. They are interoperable with major DSLAM and Voice Gateway vendor equipment.
